Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective date: 1 September 2025

This Refund & Cancellation Policy ("Policy") applies to bookings made with Tapti Events ("we", "our", "us") via our website www.tapti-events-planner.storeand official channels. By paying the booking retainer/advance you agree to the terms below. This Policy aligns with common practices in India’s events industry and should be read along with your Booking Confirmation/Agreement.

1. Booking Retainer (Advance) — Non‑Refundable

A non‑refundable retainer (typically 25%–50% of the total estimate, as communicated in your quote) is required to secure the date, team, and vendors. The retainer covers pre‑production planning and blocks resources, and will not be refunded under any circumstances. It will be adjusted against your final invoice.

2. Customer Cancellation

If you cancel your booking for any reason, refunds on payments (excluding the non‑refundable retainer and any non‑recoverable third‑party costs) will be processed as follows:

Any customization work already completed (e.g., printed backdrops, signages, custom props) and confirmed third‑party vendor payments (e.g., venues, artists, caterers, photographers) are non‑refundable and will be deducted from the refundable amount.

4. Force Majeure

If the event cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control (including but not limited to government restrictions, natural disasters, epidemics, severe weather, or other force majeure events), we will offer a date change/credit valid for up to 12 months, subject to availability and any vendor policy. Cash refunds are not guaranteed in force majeure situations where vendors decline refunds; we will assist in negotiating fair adjustments.

7. Third‑Party Vendors & Venue Policies

Vendor bookings arranged by us are subject to each vendor’s terms as well as venue rules. Non‑recoverable vendor fees, cancellation charges, and date‑change fees will be deducted from any refund or added to your revised estimate, as applicable.

8. No‑Show / Delays

If the client or key participants do not arrive on time or the event is delayed/cut short for reasons not attributable to us, no refunds apply for the lost time. We’ll try to accommodate within reasonable limits if the schedule permits, and extra time may be billed.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. The version on this page at the time of your booking applies unless otherwise agreed in writing.
